Do you ever feel that way, like you are on a treadmill going way too fast? (I know the blog title says 'too fast' and now it's 'way too fast' only two sentences later, but that's just the issue. It keeps speeding up!) I'm hoping it's not just me, trying to find a pace I can handle. It seems to happen at this time every year and I haven't even started working on my holiday gift list. I think I remember a distant promise about not waiting this long to get organized. Did you just feel the treadmill speed up?
So, I'm going to play "Project catch up" here in this space to try and help organize myself. Thank you, in advance, for your patience.
A1 requested indoor shoes for her chilly toes that currently reside in the south of England. How could a mother refuse the chance to make something cozy?
I (my dad) sent these out so fast that the only picture I have was taken at work by our brilliant photographer Lindsey Topham. They are already in England keeping her toes warm.
I found some yarn in the warehouse at work that I couldn't resist. Sometimes a skein just jumps into my hands and I can't put it down. I guess it's one of the dangers of working at a yarn store. With my one skein, I whipped up two little gnome hats. One is for sweet Willa and the other for her new baby brother or sister.
I don't think I've fully covered the projects that I've made but this will have to do, for now. Tomorrow I'll show you what else I've been doing and then on to Handmade Holidays 2012!
If I can keep my footing.
Do you have a pattern for the indoor shoes? They are really cute.

Thanks Kelly! The pattern I used was the Fiber Trends Children's Felt Clogs. I knit the biggest size and they fit me and my daughter. I embellished around the cuff by taking felt circles and beading the center with multiple seed beads pulled tight to make the felt pucker. I also put Fiber Trend suede soles on. i made another pair for my younger daughter too. I'll try and take those pictures soon.
