I am hoping that a change of season brings about a change of pace as well, but I'm not so sure that is going to happen. I have been nursing a patella that seems to prefer to be dislocated, rather than be located where it's supposed to. Most of my month has been some variation of this,
punctuated by limping to sporting events, end of year ceremonies and trying to work. I now have a very lovely, albeit painful, relationship with a team of physical therapists. They say I'm on the mend, fingers crossed.
It did provide plenty of time for knitting however. There's always a bright side! I've finished a lace weight shawlette, pattern to come soon.
I also knit her some of her very own kitty cats. I hear she is crazy for cats. While I was knitting the last kitty, it happened. I thought it might take some sort of zombie apocalypse, but it took just one little kitten tail. I had to resort to knitting off the yarn lamp.
If I had had more time I would have filmed it. Frankly, the way things are going, I'm amazed I got a picture.
G and I are headed off to England tonight to see A1, where I shall limp in foreign lands. Luckily, I have another skein of lace-weight lying around and will knit my way across the ocean, and all around England.
